Goals

Students will conduct research on the Internet.
Students will conduct research using CD-ROM and video discs.

Objectives
Internet

Students will:

  • launch an Internet browser.
  • correctly type URL addresses and open.
  • demonstrate various ways to open an Internet location.
  • navigate within the web site.
  • recognize links on a web page.
  • search the web using a search engine.
  • refine search terms to narrow the number of possible hits.
  • add and delete bookmarks.
  • download files from a web site.
  • fill out a form on a web site.
  • print from the Internet.
  • collect and condense information obtained from various sources.
  • cite research using correct format.

Objectives
CD-ROM and Video Disc

Students will:

  • load and navigate a CD-ROM.
  • refine search criteria to access needed information.
  • load a video/laser disc and use the remote.
